Worst Product Ever -

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have a Bryant HVAC system installed 4 years ago - and since then I have to pay and replace 3 major parts - both condensers and the motor - surprise - surprise now I am in year 4 - the unit is out again - I am currently writing this on September 12, 2024 sitting in my hot house in Florida. I am told that this time it's the compressor (on a 4 year old unit) - I finally gave up and called Carrier myself (who by the way informed me that I will not get the additional 5 years on the unit because I did not register the unit in 90 days - although they can clearly see when it was purchased).

How does a "brand new A/C needs so much repair - I pointed out that it is clear that I received a bad unit from the get-go - since it starts breaking down within 2 years - I was basically told in not so many words - that "WE Don't Replace the entire unit, but you can get the parts until the Warranty runs out". I have purchased this unit twice over with the amount I have to pay in labor cost to install the "new" parts.

STAY AWAY FROM BRYANT PRODUCTS - unless you have money to waste. Never again.

Thermostat lies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On July 4, my Bryant app indicated that the room temperature was 80 and it should cool to 75. The air handler never turned on!

I tried rebooting my app, the thermostat, and the electrical panel. Occasionally it would restart. However, as soon as it reached the set temperature, it would turn off and not restart until I manually reset everything again. Given that it's summertime, a customer-focused company should have spare motors and other parts on hand.

Bryant, however, is taking 7-10 business days to ship out a replacement motor.

The HVAC technician says it may not arrive until August 7, which is over one month away. This service is terrible!

Weird policy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We had a full warranty on our AC unit. They refused to send us the motor that was leaking.

They claimed they only would send it to the company that is going to fix it.

Also, its going to take 10 days to get it ready. Luckily, my husband bought the motor and fixed it himself.

I've supposedly the “Cadillac” of HVAC units. Well that’s a joke! Every 2 weeks same error code comes up. Tech comes out says nothing wrong “just needs to reset itself.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have had this unit for not even 2 years. So far a new panel has been needed and every month (if not twice a month) I get an error code 45 .

Techs come out (costing $80 each time!!) to tell me nothing is wrong. Just needs to reset itself. Never heard of a system needing to reset itself every 2 weeks!!! This is BS!

STOP trying to make a system so techy!

Obviously it cant handle everything you have in it! I will never buy a Bryant system again.

8 years old Bryan AC unit failed even with warranty contractor charged 2500 for installation.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have an 8 years old Bryan AC unit that compressor and TXV failed prematurely. The contractor B and B Cooling and Heating in the Frederick MD area diagnose the issue (charged 130 for this work) then charged 2510 dollars for replacing the new under warranty compressor and TXV valve. This is nut to have to put out this kind of dollars for warranty parts.

Terrible Customer Service

Bryant AC did not measure my home properly before selling me a unit undersized for the home. They then failed to quote me a heater & ac new unit to replace my older Trane unit.

Thus they only installed the A/C new unit and left me with a 20 year old Heater and quoted me then an additional 6k or 15k total for both the A/C Condensor, Coil, and a Heater 3.5 tons. Then they agreed to a 10 Year Parts plus 10 Year Labor Warranty and forgot to put that in Contract, instead giving me a 1 year Labor Warranty. Finally, they agreed to add 2 returns to Master Suite to insure proper airflow, cut a huge hold over the door, then refused to repair it until after I paid them in full.

Finally, they threatened to take my Hummer H2 out of my driveway if I didnt pay them in full before the repairs were complete to bedroom wall or before installing the 2 new returns. Find a firm that is honest in their quotes and provides quotes for what is actually needed in your home.

Disgusted with new Bryant HVAC

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Approximately eight years ago, my husband opted to have a Bryant HVAC system installed in a large garage. I never tried to steer him in any other direction because I wouldn't be in that part of the home.

While I was out of town, he again met with a Bryant salesperson. This time, he paid $15,000 for a top-of-the-line HVAC system for our living space. It is junk, absolute junk. It whistles when running in the heat cycle.

The HVAC company that installed it did what it could, but in the end, we will have to pay $8,700 for the uninstallation and reinstallation of another type of furnace. This is unacceptable on every level.

Poor design in Minisplit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I wonder if their engineers understand the outdoor unit gets placed outdoors... Outdoors, where rodents, insects, and frogs can get into the circuitry..

As happened to my 6 month old unit. When the service tech opened it up it's quite evident the entire heart of the electronics is wide open to anything that wants to make a home inside. Stupid !

Or just being cheap. Two weeks to get an new control board and they're saying it's NOT covered by warranty.

Lemon!

4 years ago we had a Bryant unit installed, the day the installers left they had the heat and a/c switched, our ac unit was blowing out heat, they had to come back and change it.

I knew then we were in trouble. We have had to replacethe A-coil, compressor, txv valve, now the units electrical board went out.

This is in a span of 2 1/2 years.

This is unacceptable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We had a HEIL unit that ran for 20 years with zero issues, not one!!! Stay far far away from a Bryant ac unit.

We called the Bryant Corp.

And they said "this is common for that many things to go bad in that time frame, not unusual" can you believe that... buy at your own risk

Great company

Long over due, we had a new furnace installed back in December and the installers were great. A few weeks the later I saw water coming out of a light switch downstairs in my bathroom (furnace is in the attic above my bathroom) I went upstairs to see what was going on and saw the attic full of water that was dripping out of the drip pan.

I immediately called Bryant Heating, Cooling & Electric and they sent out two of their installers and one of their electricians and were here within 30 minutes. They fixed the problem and the electrician checked the light switch in the bathroom to make sure everything was working properly and cleaned the water out. There was water damage and they told me to get some estimates for the repairs. Bryant Heating, Cooling & Electric paid for ALL of the repairs and made it right.

They are an outstanding company, they stand by the product, go above and beyond, and their customer service is outstanding. So glad we went with Bryant Heating, Cooling, and Electric!

Bryant system installed 01/15/18: Water dripping from coil unit/condenser pan..... I HAVE SAME PROBLEM!

Exception.... the Bryant dealer/installer/service company CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM. Yet, I have ruined wooden floors next to Bryant unit hallway enclosure. Have plenty of air intake grills for return air compartment.....

live in Texas Panhandle..... they give the lame excuse of too much humidity. In last 10 days, have had one independent service tech, and one Bryant certified service tech (neither the original seller/installer/service tech). Bryant certified tech found the condenser pan was probably never installed correctly from factory.....

bracket which was suppose to hold pan in proper position to have a right to left slope was not attached to the pan. Therefore, drain was on left side..... but.... right side of pan was lower......

indisputable fact by calcium water line on coil unit. Fixing that solved part of the problem..... water flow has slowed.... now it just drips instead of having standing water in the bottom of the return air compartment.

I have a case number with Bryant.... I have an independent service and a certified Bryant service working with our regional distributor trying to find a solution. Original seller/installer/service maintain.... humidity is the problem.....

their last visit, they sprayed coils with WD-40.... still water ran.... again.... humidity!

I would give Bryant a 1...... and the original installer a 1!

Keeps going out

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had 2 of these installed. One at my house, the other at my mother in-laws.

Both have went down 3 times in a matter of months. That is 6 times the installer had to be called out. And I chose Schwarts to install. Even bigger mistake than having a Bryant installed.

Even though they are brand new units, they keep going down, and Schwarts charges me to fix. What a scam.

Failed Heat Exchanger

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After 10yrs, this will be the 2nd time the furnace needs to be replaced. 1st time was immediately after installation; it produced a strong plastic smell that wouldn't go away; it made me nauseous.

They replaced it right away. Now, the heat exchanger failed and I've been without heat for over two weeks. Bryant makes you go through the dealers to process a claim. Problem is no one wants to take care of it.

Paid $160 for a 15min diagnostic; and each company you request a warranty replacement quote from wants an upfront diagnostic fee, just to tell you what you already know. And then afterwords, they want nothing to do with you. Basically, no returned phone calls and "Oh we are at least two weeks out." At this point looking at other brands and losing out on the warranty rebate claim worth about $600. That amount isn't worth the hassle.

But that amount is worth it to Bryant to not have you as a customer. I guess they blame you for having the failed furnace.
