Very loud and rattles every time the compressor turns off

Bryant - Very loud and rattles every time the compressor turns off
I replaced my 15-year-old Trane with a new Bryant Preferred 4 ton 2 stage straight cool. AFTER 1 month I am already regretting my purchase. The outside compressor is extremely loud and each time the AC cycles on and off the compressor makes a loud rattling noise. it's so loud it wakes me up during the night and I fear the neighbor will complain. The installer came out and inspected the unit and said it's normal?!

User's recommendation: Very noisy- don't buy.

No customer service

New app doesnt work, same with customer service! Dictates how much to write here! Telephone holds for hours! Other options to talk to customer service must be purchased! Old app worked fine after one year of the same problems.

User's recommendation: Don’t buy BRYANT.

Expansion valve failure.

I'm going to one up all of you. Bought a new Bryant, the highest seer rating. Manufactured in Oct 2020. Installed July 2021. Expansion valve locked up and locked down the unit. No air conditioning in 98 degree weather. House is 82-84 degrees at night. They don't have a part for it. They have parts on the production line, but not in the dealer network. Was told we would get it on tuesday, now they are saying thursday. A week with no air on a brand new unit. Went to see the distributor about expediting the part. They said they get it when they get it. Mingeldorf's.

I've been trying to get help and parts to correct a non operating ductless system since June 1st.installed those parts and the unit still isn't operating.

This is a warranty claim. When you do get tech support on the phone line and they try helping in my case so far without success. Hours of hold time. we are sorry do to high call volumes. Someone will assist you momentarily.

User's recommendation: IDK choose wisely.

Need a manual for my programmable thermostat

The prior home owners did not leave behind a manual for the programmable thermostat. Obviously, I need to know how to program the thermostat. Can someone at your company call me at 830-624-**** to assist me with this problem. Sorry, I cannot find a model number, so we have to work from scratch. If you don't help me, I'll have to contact my air conditioner person to assist me, which will not make me happy.

User's recommendation: Don't stay on hold forever.

Unhappy

Bought new unit and 2 years in with light use already have spent close to $1,000 in repairs. I do not recommend. Will only sell parts to licensed contractors so owners are stuck with bills upon bills. But another brand that will hold up if you are considering this brand.

User's recommendation: Don’t buy this brand.

Cost of repair

Called Bryant on Thursday and tech came same day for floor furnace repair. On inspection, tech said part needed was not called a thermocouple (looked like one to me) and would have to be ordered. Part wasn't ordered until Saturday, and was received on Monday. We froze for 4+ days with only small space heaters. Tech came same day on Monday with part, repaired furnace in about an hour. Charged us $465. I told tech I wanted the old part for reference. He showed me the part and said there were some numbers on it but they didn't mean anything. I looked around after tech left and he'd taken the old part with him. I checked with Cozi and part was available locally and costed only $15. I became suspicious that we'd been ripped off.

User's recommendation: Be wary.

Firmware Update - Broke my Expensive Thermostat

Bryant Evolution system as touted the best and most efficient in the business. Yeah, right, only when they work. My evolution thermostat was running fine, and a firmware update was pushed to it by Bryant. Turned out this firmware update wipe my serial number from the thermostat, and now it cannot connect to my phone. While under warranty, it costs close to $200 for a tech to come out, look at it, take it off the wall, and send it back. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE! This was the sole major reason for purchasing this system.

User's recommendation: Dont get fooled into this system being efficient etc, it costs more to fix their problems that they introduce that its worth.

Not a Happy Homeownwer

I installed two Bryant Evolution Furnaces and after a year still dealing with error codes.. I tried calling Bryant a complete waste of time they refer me back to my contractor who is slowly changing every part because he has no idea what's going on. I truly think that evolution series sucks and I am at the point I am going to hire an attorney because I want both of my furnaces changed with another brand...

User's recommendation: Never use Bryant Evolution Furnaces.
