PURCHASED A BRYANT AIRCONDITIONER 5/23/13 FROM C & S HEATING AND COOLING IN WENTZVILLE MO. (113036, 3 TON, 13 SEER, AIR CONDITIONER CNPVP3621, CASE COILED).

WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER MOTOR, CAPACITOR AND NOW HAVING THE CONDENSER COIL REPLACED. ALL A LITTLE LESS THAN 5 YRS OLD.

I THINK WE HAVE PURCHASED A LEMON! WE SHOULD HAVE ERESEARCHED BRYANT'S POOR CONSUMER REPORT REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING. PARTS ARE UNDER WARRANTY, BUT WE ARE PAYING FOR SERVICE CALLS AND EXPENSIVE LABOR EACH TIME WE HAVE A REPAIR.

I WAS TOLD BY C & S THAT THEY CALLED BRYANT THIS LAST REPAIR ABOUT THE CONDENSER COIL AND WAS TOLD BRYANT SAID, "THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS ALMOST FIVE YRS OLD AND THEY WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING.

MY POINT IS, THIS IS NOT A QUALITY PRODUCT WHICH REQUIRE MAJOR WORK "TWICE" ON A LESS THAN 5 YR OLD UNIT. WILL NOT EVER PURCHASE OR RECCOMEND A BRYANT!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $1200.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Bryant Cons: Quality of product, Lack of care about my ongoing issues, Bryant does not stand behind their product.

Location: 5401 Cornhusker Hwy, Lincoln, NE 68504, USA

I have a 5 year old Bryant HVAC system that just went out of warranty in April 2018. I had to replace the blower motor back in 2015 which was under warranty and at the time the service tech told me there was a leak in the coils and that in the future it would need to be fixed or replaced.

This year in May my fan started to make a grinding noise. I called Igloo Air here in Ormond Beach, FL. Richard, the owner, came out and checked the system and yes it did have a leak and he thought because it was out of warranty that instead of me spending $1800.00 for a new coil he could inject a dryer into the lines, then a sealant and then shoot in new freon. Well he tried it and now after $400.00 my entire system froze up and is dead in the water.

I contacted Carrier directly case #0146****. She, Barb in New York, was unsympathetic to my cause but said she would contact the sales rep for the area which she did. Nothing has been done. Richard told me he can replace the entire unit for $3500.00 that I do not have and he was nice enough to let me borrow a window unit.

I have emailed Carrier and no on has contacted me. I live in Florida. It's 90 plus degrees outside and I can't afford to get this 5 year old system fixed or replaced. I am on SS Disability and I have no heat for the upcoming winter season let alone a full running HVAC system now.

I have found other websites with other people complaining just like myself about the exact same issues. A 5 year old system should not break down like this and Barb even told me when I spoke to her back in May that yes, they had problems with the coils. I don't know what else to do other than doing what I'm doing right now. If you can help me I would be most grateful.

It's sad that major companies like this take advantage of the consumer like this and get away with it. If it were just one system then maybe I could see it's an isolated problem but it's not. It's a major consumer fraud problem as I see it and I see that others did too. Please help me?

I can't afford a new system and I sure can't afford to spend $1800.00 on another coil that will probably fail too. Thanks at least for listening to me."Does this mean I don't have a case? Not necessarily. Whatโ€™s been indicated to us is that the attorneys we work with have decided not to pursue your matter.
